Can I take a 94 2wd differential(and possibly rear) and put it into a 2001 4wd?

I have no idea, why do you want to swap your axle in the first place? and since being 4x4 you have to make sure its the same gear ratio as the front.

I know the Gen1's came with 7.25, 8.25 and the Gen2's came with 8.25, 9.25 I dont know if there the same or not. I would find one outta a gen2
