Default Axle ratios

I am going to be buying a Gen II Dakota to tow my new 23' traver trailer.I was looking in a towing guide that posts tow ratings. For the Dakota 4wd, quad cab they show 3 different ratings. What made the difference in tow rating was axle ratios. My question is, when I go tolookany of thetrucks, how do I know which axle in on the turck?

Thanks in Advance

I just purchased a 2003 and mine was in the glove box on a sticker. Axel Ratio, limited slip etc.

If you look at the factory sticker in the glovebox, you want to look for DMHP which is the 3.92 axle ratio. Also look to see if it says DSA somewhere on it which means it has the limited slip differential.
