I HAVE A 2002 DODGE DAKOTA AND IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT. WHENEVER I START IT, IT TAKES 2 OR 3 TIMES BEFORE IT STARTS. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT NEEDS A NEW PCM. SO I WANNA KNOW WHAT THE HECK IS A PCM, AND HOW MUCH SHOULD IT REALLY COST?

 

PCM stands for Powertrain Control Module, basically the engine computer. I don't know how much the DCX units run for but when I had to replace the engine computer in my Integra it cost $750 from the dealer. Usually those things are not cheap.
