87 d50 project
I used to have an 87 shelby Z and loved it. I'm about to get an 87 (i think) d50 2.6 standard tonight and was wondering whether its possible to bolt in the 2.2
Does the 2.2 share the same bolt pattern as any rear wheel drive prefferably 5 speed transmissions?
if the truck is in good shape and I decide to do this conversion I'll probably pickup a cheap 2.2 turbo and make it fast.
any other suggestions for getting the 2.2 to work would be great. ex: truck tranny/low rear gear, etc etc.

actually, what are all my engine choices do you suppose? and what tranny's would be used.
I'd like to keep it small displacement and have good reving... basically more of a car than a truck. a race car...
