I bought my 99 Dakota used with 74,000 kms on it.I now have 131,000 kms, 3 years later. I still love it, but I just put my second transmission (used not new)into it since I bought it. So technically it is on its third tranny.
I have the 318 5.2 litre 4x4 with manual transmission. I always thought that the standard tranny was suppose to be more durable, and dependable to the automatic. Is this a known issue with the standard tranny from this model year?
Like I said I still love the truck...but it is testing my patience, and marriage
