Default Spark plug change

So I replaced my spark plugs on my "new" 2001 4.7 Dakota. While doing so I found some sort of sensor on two of the coil pack studs. On on each side of the engine. What has me boggled is that they are not connected to anything. They certainly have a connection there with contacts inside. Any idea what they are and if they should be connected.

After looking further I found another one on the passenger side inner fender wall. It is connected though.

Thanks!

Default RE: Spark plug change

Found my answer, sort of. Found a part# on them and did a google search on it and found that a few others on the dodgedakota forum have noticed it too. None of theirs are connected either. So I am not sure what they are but if I am not the only one with them disconnected I am not worried.
