I have a 96 Dakota, 318 5.2L Magnum, 4wd. I am currently having trouble getting the obd2 scanner to communicate with my truck (the scanner works on other vehicles). I would like to know how to test the data link connector to make sure there is no problem with it or what else might be the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

a wiring diagram and a voltmeter should tell you if the port is getting power, beyond that i dont really know
