Default 5.2 Magnum

I was just the unfortunate victim of no oil preasure. And of course I didnt notice till to late. So if anyone by any chance can give me any guesses as to where to find a newor used block that would fit the rest of thestock 95 componets,I would appreciate it. If you also know how much they usualy go for it would also help out. And if by any chance someone should have a block or full assembley just shoot me your price.

Thanks

You could also try local parts stores like autozone.com or checkers or pepboys. most will be able to order reman. engines blocks and short blocks. check out their web sites for prices.

I have a 1994 5.2L V8 that came out of a 2wd Dodge Dakota. The engine has only 12 miles on it! It is a complete engine almost ready to bolt into your truck. I even have the donor trucks computer and wire harness if you want it for another project (like a rock buggy).

The Story: This truck was supposed to be a fleet/test vehicle for Argonne National labs, running on Compressed Natural Gas, but they scrapped the project (I think they had 8 trucks in total). Instead of selling them, since they were modified from original, they had to send them to the junkyard (where a friend a friend was working). He had a Jeep YJ that he wanted to put a V8 in and this was the perfect time (so he thought). To make a long story short, he lost interest and didn’t have the cash to finish the swap. I got the project and same thing, I had to sell the Jeep. I didn’t have the money to finish this project the right way. I was worried about the added horses and torque to the stock Dana 30 and 35 axels, and I didn’t have a trans that would work either. So now I was looking at buying some Dana 44’s or 60’s out of an old pickup and then buying a trans that would bolt up to both the engine and the NP231 transfer case (without adding any length to the already short driveline).
