Default fog lights

My Dakota didn't come from the factory with fog lights. Would I be better getting them from the dealer and letting them install them. Or buying them aftermarket and putting them myself?

I would try aftermarket you'll pay out the **** if you go to the dealer. I have factory lights on my 99 and they do even work now. I havent had time to search the problem.

I feel the same way. I have a 97 and they work but the end on the passanger side light has corroded some how and it burns up lights frequently. There are aftermarket lights that will fit right in to the factory holes. Plus the aftermarket will be brighter and you can have them on with your bright lights.

With aftermarket lights how would I wire them up? Could I just hook them up to the park lights?

I would just run a switch to your dash. You wouldn't want to put
them on a ciruit with anything else incase something happens
to the fog lights, it could short your other circuit as well. They
make some attractive switches that will not make your dash
look bad.
