Default 2001 dakota sounds forced help!

hello forum,
i have a 2001 dakota 2wd, quad cab, 4.7, v8.
my truck worked fine until i took it to mexico. it began to heat up so we would stop and let it cool. after that we traveled at night. it worked fine... so we changed the fan clutch, radiator and thermostat. Now my truck doesnt over heat anymore but it makes a loud noise, it feels like we have it on d2... it sounds forced.... though it gives all the gears fine, also the check engine light it on.... any one god ideas??

It is a loud fan noise that quiets down as you go faster? If so, that's your clutch fan doing it's thing. It normal for new fan clutches. If it fan noise doesn't quiet down at normal speed then you may have a bad fan clutch.
