Hey has any1 had this problem? The dealers have no clue and its intermitant so its hard to pinpoint. When its cold -20 or -25C it will squeel at a high pitch like metal on metal. It sounds like a pully but nothing can be found. I can accel or decel out of the noise too. It doesnt seem to matter if the engine is hot or cold.It happens mainly at 80km and 100km and +/-5km will move out of it. This corresponds to approx 2400@ 80km and 2600@ 100km. Ive brought it in 2 times now and they have replaced the clutch fan which did nothing.</P>


Mytruck isa02 dakota 4x sport with a 6 cyl.</P>

Maybe the engine harmonics are off balance.

 

I've had mine squeel this week for the first time and only when the engine is cold. truck is an 03 sxt v6. rick</P>
