Default HELP! Can't find fuel filter

I just picked up an 89 dakota. It was running ok at first, but now it's not. I only drive my truck to work and school (which is right in town) and a half tank doesn't even last me 2 days! Also, when I drive, I have to press on the gas pretty hard, and the truck hardly moves at all. It feels like the gas is having a hard time getting through. And sometimes the truck won't even start.

So I'm suspecting it's the fuel filter, but I can't find the damn thing! I know it's somewhere under the truck, but I don't see it. Can someone help me out please?

The fuel filter should be located on the drivers side, at the inside of the frame rail. Don't quote me on where yours is, but my 93' was located at this location. I am pretty sure the first gen dakota fuelfilterswere all located there. Hope that helps.

My 96 doesn't have an in-line fuel filter. It has an in-tank setup and the filter is part of the fuel pump assembly.
