Dakota tow mirrors

Does anyone know if the flip-up tow type mirrors that fit on the 2000 era 2500s will fit on a 2000 dakota?

I don't have a camera handy but I don't think they'll work because the area where it mounts is much smaller. I noticed this after looking at at 2500 in my parking lot.
