anyone have a fast plan to remove the radio/AC/etc trim to remove radio and all 4 door panels to get to speakers? SLT model with the bad fake wood plastic piece and quad cab? I'll figure it out but if someone has done it let me know some instructions please -- looks different than the 04'? but maybe not? thanks

that wood is absolutely the stupidest thing I have ever seen! what does it go with? NOTHING! why did they decide to throw a random wood grain pattern into this car when no other wood plastic is used anywhere? yes it must go or be painted it has a shine that reflects light into the corner of my eyes all the time also very distracting IMO oh and it is ugly as sin.

I was going to call the dealer and see if they would change it out for me? did you find any replacements online I can;t really find much for the '05 yet. I really want a roof rack for mine.

anyone on the removal of the wood trim or 4 door panels?

I can't help as to HOW to remove it, but I am looking into what to replace it with.

The base model has a black piece, same size and shape. My dealer quoted me $100 for it. I should've made them throw it in for free when I bought the truck. To be honest, I almost bought a base model just to avoid it, but I'm glad I got the SLT.

http://www.dodgeparts.com has some '05 stuff, and I think I found the black plastic piece for $68, but I'm not positive it's the right thing.

As far as aftermarket stuff, Westin seems to be the only company with anything out, with a bull bar and side bars. Dodge sells tonneau covers, and I think Truxedo listed one in their catalog.

For performance, there is nothing for the '05s, but a good amount of 4.7 stuff so far. I have a CAI on the way, meant to fit an '04, but it looks like it might work. I may end up trying the same thing for a catback.
