Default Need Help with Dodge Dakota HP boost

Like an idiot I called my local Dodge dealership trying to get advice about boosting the HP on m 2004 Dakota. How can I get more HP out of my truck? Needless to say I don’t know much about working on trucks, but I would love to have more power. Is there a chip or supercharger that really works? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2004 Dakota with a 4.7L V8 engine.

Thanks in advance!

Doug

Remove the clutch fan. You'll gain some power. The 4.7s have E-fans that come on and work well. I removed my clutch fan and have loved it ever since.

You could get an aftermarket muffler, it helps a little. Get some colder spark plugs, 3924 Autolites.

As of right now, there isn't much out there for upgrading a 4.7 unfortunately.

Hope this helps.
