Default Dodge Dakota 94 won't start

I sorted through numerous problems with my V8 Dakota and now narrowed it down to a problem with the Power Distribution Center. I replaced a relay for "auto start" and it ran fine for awhile. All the relays are okay, but the only way I can start the truck is to unhook the the two wire connections (one from battery (red) and one (black wire) to starter. Then put a coated wire into the starter plug and one end direct to the battery-once it starts it runs great. When the key is turned on I get lights/buzzer/etc but truck will not fire. Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot the Power box? thank you in advance.

It sounds like the wires are corroted or its the wire splices. It would be better for you to post this question in the 1st gen dakota sub section. You will get alot more responces. Also in the FAQ in 1st gen dakota there is a write up on this commen isuse that may help.
