Default Help! 318 Magnum engine problem

Ok so heres the story, to avoid an unnecessarily long post Ill shorten the beginning. The engine died one day on the highway, due to error of my own I thought the rotor was cylinder one when at TDC so I tore the front of the engine down and replaced the factory timing gears/chain with a cloyes dual roller setup. Well while I was at it I pulled the oil pump of to fill it with some engine assembly lube (this is important later). Well said and done the engine turned but did not fire...
A week, an ignition pickup, and a coil later it did fire. And had some funny engine noise, in my stupidity i reved the motor some to see what changed, then let it idle for 5 or so minutes... finally hopped in and looked at the oil pressure gauge... OH %@&# no pressure at all, as it turned out the oil pump drive did not seat in the pump during reassembly... Which I fixed and now have great pressure...

Now to the problem, I have a loud tapping noise coming from the engine, and it is too loud to be regular lifter noise. It does not get louder with rpms, but it does go faster. This leads me to believe it may be a valvetrain noise as it should get louder with a spun rod bearing... Anyone have any ideas or am I totally screwed, time for 5.9maybe?

Also it does not make this noise when cold, only after it has run for a few minutes
