I have a 2002 2wd 4.7 quad cab. Anyone know if it's got a locker? Idk how to tell

 

Well its unlikely to have a locker unless a previous owner installed one. They never came with lockers from the factory.

However, it may have a limited slip differential... which is NOT the same thing as a locker. If you want to know if it has a LSD, jack up the rear axle and spin one wheel... if the other spins the same direction, its limited slip, if the other spins the opposite direction, its open.

 

check in the glove box. there is going to be a piece of paper with all of your codes for paint as well as a few other codes concerning your brakes, tranny, etc etc.

it will tell you what size axle you have 8.25 or 9.25 as well as what gear ratio you have and if it is LSD or not.
