HI EVERYONE, I HAVE A 1997 DAKOTA 5.2. MY TOW/HAUL SWITCH ONLY WORKS (WELL THE LIGHT ONLY COMES ON) IF THE TRANNY IS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL. IS THIS NORMAL? THIS IS MY FIRST DODGE AND LOVE IT.

 

your tow/haul switch is just the overdrive to see if it is working go down the highway at like 65-70 miles an hour with it off, your tach should read like 2000 rpms then press the tow/haul button on (overdrive will turn off) and your tach should jump up to about 3000 rpms, if it does not then I would say that you have a problem.
