rear in dodge dakota making alot of noise--already diagnosed as hanger bearing but they want 1800 to fix!! My husband does all the work on the vehicles but never did hanger bearing--anyone know how difficult this is to do ourselves/how involved is this repair?

 

I'm not to sure myself what a hanger bearing is. To me it sounds like it is the old Muffler bearing trick.
