The end?!?!
Hello fellow Dakota fanatics, just wanna say that I read somewhere, that Dodge has axed production of the Dakota! I might be on the late freight on this one. I just read this yesterday. I spoke to my teacher( works at Chrysler during the day) and he said that was not true the Dakota is not dead. I say it's over. Great run! First mid size truck that had ballz. I love my Dakota.
US car companies have been to complacent and producing poorly designed products for too long.
You look at the V8's they produce; they are really cruddy compared to the products out there that have been so well designed; they have the ability to take a 4 banger and give it the power well over a V8 with HP numbers that are out of this world considering its a 4 banger.
Then the transmissions behind alot of those same products really tap the engine for every drop of power it can muster.
I don't see why we can't do the same thing with the American Auto Companies; and esp. the V8's... Instead we are forced to drop tons of money into an engine to get just 50+ more horse power and tons in the transmission if you really want to utilize the product.
I'm sure I have no clue what I'm talking... lol
