I posted this in the 3rd Gen Forum, but since the 42RLE is in more than just the 3rd gen trucks, I thought I'd ask here and see if you guys can provide some insight.

Mostly at this point, I'm wondering about the Quick Learn reset on the 42RLEs TCM. Is it really necessary to induce quick learn mode when switching to amsoil ATF or is a battery disconnect "good enough"? Is there truly a difference between setting quick learn mode with a DRBIII scan tool and resetting the TCM by disconnecting the battery?
