Default Front End Question

Morning Guys,

My name is Anthony, and I am new to this forum. I just have a quick question about a front end issue. I have an 03 Dakota 4x4 quad cab with 80k miles that I purchased back in late June. The problem started to arise about a month and a half ago. When driving over any bumps I can hear the front end of the truck creaking and squeaking. Would it be fair to think its the struts that are starting to fail? There is no clunking when turning the wheel or anything like that. Also there is no excessive play in the steering wheel either. Thanks in advance guys.

Probably shocks. If they are stock stocks definitely replace them. If the noise is still there after new shocks checks the control arm bushings, especially the upper control arms.
