1992 dakota shifting issue
I have a 1992 dakota 2wd with the 3.9l v6 and an automatic transmission. When i start it up and put it in drive, it kind of goes, but it feels like it is slipping, so then i jiggle the shift lever and it pops in and it goes back to normal. Occasionally it does this when I start from a stop after i have been driving. Is this something to be concerned about? I checked the trans fluid level and it is full.
Thanks!

the fluid can be full and there still be a problem inside... just because its full of fluid doesn't always mean everything's cool.... is the fluid burnt?
in your case its probably just a linkage adjustment
I solved my A/T problems permanently... I swapped a 5 speed into my 93. I had a couple of clutch issues (cheaply made, made in china clutch) but once I swapped brands clutch problems gone too. I went thru 3 auto trannys in my 94, in 14K miles. I bought my 93 with a bad trans so I switched to the manual and so far its been great
