Alright guys, i was trying to take out my rack and pinion to try and rebuild it myself. While doing so the bolts from the rack and pinon to the steering knuckle that runs into the steering column were to tight to get off. So I have to take the entire steering knuckle off to get the rack and pinion off. The bolts to that are freaking froze up to, but i have been jerking and trying to slide it off to get the rack and pinion free. if the steering wheel is locked in place while doing that, will it affect the components inside the steering column? I have no idea if it will hurt anything while jerking on it. I just needed the damn rack and pinion but it wont get free, any suggestions?
