Okay so I took the truck into the shop. They said they have never seen anything like it before. in regards to the all wheel drive being fully activated all the time. well they tore it apart and of all things a little snap ring broke on the output shaft and thats what caused it to slip in and stay. so if yall run into this thats a good bet.

 

Hey Graig isn't the AWD supposed to be activated all the time?
Is it ever supposed to be in 2WD or did your 4HI get stuck on?

I have owned my truck since new and I believe that it has always been in AWD mode.

 

no it should only work when its wheel slips other than that it should only work basically in two wheel drive
