It would be nice to see that cummins diesel to be offered in a Dak or Durango as an option to the 5.7 hemi. I think the cummins can run almost as good as a hemi but provide better longevity and lower maintenance and possibly much better mpg's.
last year at one of the CC national events, there Was a dakota with a viper motor in it, and i presume a viper tranny, because it was a six speed. the truck was simply sick. with the hood closed, and if you couldnt see the massive pipes, it looked like a regular Dakota R/T, with viper hood badges. but the interior was fully refinished, custom racing seats, so on. the engine did appear to be a bit uncomfortable in the engine compartment, as it looked Very wedged in there. it also had the viper-look sidepipes. it was very impressive.
Rad rides by Troy built the Viper/Dakota. It was extremly difficult. The whole front frame had to be hand fabbed and the wiring harness had to be built from scratch as well. Also the bulkhead had to cut out and re-welded in several inches back.
