My son has a 1990 Dakota, the ac has never worked and I don't want to pay to replace it. The problem is that the bearings in the pulley are frozen and it is melting the belts. I heard that there is a by pass pulley but can't seem to find one for this truck. Is it possible to just use a different size belt and by pass the ac all together? Any suggestions?

 

hey I have a 99 dakota and the ac bearings went on mine so iI just bought the belt without ac and put it on for now until I get it fixed. works like a charm.
