Disabling Daytime Running Lights on a '03 Dakota
I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota Sport, and as a Canadian model, it's got Daytime Running lights (DRLs). Now, having owned nothing but classics before this, I find this profoundly annoying - if I want the lights on, I'll turn them on myself!
I've seen some articles about disabling them in older Dakota's, but not sure how to do it in this generation. Neither the fuse panel on the dash on the driverside or the one under the hood seems to have anything referring to the DRL system. Does anyone know how this can be done?

To my knowledge it has to be done via the ECU.

On my '96 Dakota, it has an actual DRL module, which you can disconnect to disable DRLs. However, at least on the wiring diagram for the 2001, headlights are actually controlled by the Central Timer Module. So, I would think that, yea, its computer controlled. Good ol' computers [:'(].
you can just put the ebrake down one click too. the only thing is that the light will be on in the dash.
