Default Help Needed ~2000 Dakota 4.7 Owners

Could someone with a ~2000 Dakota 4.7 check the wire colors and locations on their Diagnostic (OBD-II) Connector. It is directly below the steering wheel at the bottom of the dash. The connector is marked with real faint numbers at each corner. (1, 8, 9, & 16) You may need a mirror or push the connector from the metal bracket. I had a new connector installed using the wiring table from the shop manual and wiring diagrams, but it is still not right. Neither the ECM or TCM will talk to a scan tool via the connector.

HELP!!!! Please!!!! My truck has been out of commision for over a month.
Thanks,
Dingo

P.S. Some of the wires will be two colors. (i.e. tracers) An example would be violet w/yellow stripe. Note that I have eight wires and the chart only shows 7. My extra one is white with a green stripe. Here is what the manual says they should be.

1. none
2. violet w/yellow
3. none
4. black w/tan
5. black
6. light green
7. pink
8-13 none
14. pink w/black
15. none
16. pink
