A Few Questions
I have recently put a Flowmaster 40 Series on my truck...It sounds very nice...I have been looking into a shorter throw shifter...I have found that Hurst makes a shifter for about $220. Anyone else know of other manufacturers who make one for an 04, or if there are any crossovers for years?
I have also been experiencing a noise emminating from my front end...stupid chrysler...I do not believe it is the ball joints, but I have to see. This would be amazing if it were, as there are only 3800 miles on it. The noise is a creak when making sharper turns while going over a bump (about the size of a speed bump). Any ideas?

What engine/trans combination do you have? I'd like to upgrade the exhaust on my '04 4.7L, and have been looking into either Flowmaster or Dynamax along with MoPar headers. I really like the sound of the Dynomax muffler on my '92 318, but it rusted out requiring replacement after only three years (lifetime warranty, fortunately). I'm also trying to decide if I'm happy with the shifter/clutch feel for the '04s 5-speed, so I'd like to hear more about the shifter you mentioned.

I have the 4.7 with the 5 spd 4X4. I didnt touch the headers as I am on a limited budget, as well as the decrease in backpressure would probably cut some torque. I'm waiting to see a proven torque gain.
I got a great deal on eBay for a Delta Flow 40 series in the 409 stainless case. I had to weld up a angled piece out of a section of extra 2.5" tubing. I would recommend, pending your desired setup, a center in, offset out if you plan on using the stock pipe from the muffler back. I had a center in/out, and that caused the need for more work. Anyway...I really like the Flowmaster setup, and haven't heard Dynomax. I have heard some good things about the new Hushpower II's. More like a glasspack.
As for the shifter, I haven't gotten it, but maybe if my paychecks keep comin in...it will be in the future...Small ?...does your truck pop out of 3rd ever? Mine does occiasionally...slightly anoyying..
