Seems to me that the Dakota might be getting a bit of the '07 Durango front end. I wonder if they will give the Dakota braces and get rid of the front bumper underbite???

Also says there are interior improvements made... curious how those will be done, as I kind of like the interior styling of my '06 (except for the center bezel in that stupid pattern that stretches over corners)

No word yet on hemi/diesel options. Guess we'll have to wait until 2012-ish for the big changes!

 

The 4.7L is also redesigned for '08. Bottom end is the same from what im told, heads are now DOHC 3 valve design.
Word has it the new engine design will put out about 50 more ponies and give about a 1 MPG mileage increase.
I have no clue if they are going to still offer a high output version of this engine.

 

I hope they add more power to the engine. They're already a bit underpowered for my tast. I think that the 4.0L would be better than the 3.7L as far as power goes. I'll have to wait for the 09's to come out before I buy another truck.
