has anyone ever installed a turbo on the 3.9 V-6 in a dakota? I'm either thinking of doing a 318 swap or maybe just maybe a turbo if I can find something that will fit easily....any suggestions anyone?

get a super charger...thatll be instant power on the pedal...id imagine the 6, like the 8 lacks torque until about 2200...id look into one, but my 8 is ok for now...and my budget isnt that high...if your goin without a budget...get a classic hemi...

 

well my budget isnt anything pricy but I figure this truck will be with me for a long time (it was my fathers, he passed away two months ago so I wound up with it). The six will last me for a little while, but I'd like to at least put in a 318 or 360 V-8 if I dont stick a turbo on it. Superchargers are ok but I'm thinking a turbo would be fun as well. who knows, Maybe I can find a newer dakota with a V-8 for a donor and just change over some parts etc.
