I have about 42K on my Dakota and wanted to change the transmission oil. Is there any advantage in having the dealer do this from the standpoint of having adjustments made like to "bands"? Or are they probably just going to change the oil and not look at anything, which I can do?

 

You can adjust the bands yourself if you have a torque wrench. Don't remember the specs but they're in those Haynes manuals.
