Default Rear Oil change...

hey guys...I am looking to put a chrome diff cover on my truck and have ordered one up. I am hoping to put in some Royal Purple oil as I have heard great things about it. The only question I have is that my truck has a little over 4100 miles on it, and I do not want to inhibit the proper break-in time for the gears. Any thoughts on a good or bad time to add the diff oil? Thanks!

It's not going to hurt anything if you change it now. Go for it.

You've got me on that one. I know that the gen. 2 bodies had the same rearend internals as the old 8.25" rearends that DC has used forever. My guess is that it's still the same. If your considering a gear change or going to LSD, you can call Randy's ring and pinion. Here's a link.http://www.randysringandpinion.com
