who makes the best fiberglass tonneau cover and cheap too don't have too much mone oh while i am at it who makes the best viynal tonneau cover for a short box dakota

I bought a TruckTec soft tonneau off ebay for $135 shipped! It's been on for 7 months and no problems. Have had a heavy snow a couple weeks back ( Mich ) and it held up good. All aluminum framing, 3 bow rod's, over all a nice unit. My Dad bought a 03 Dak just like mine after he seen it. He also boughtthis cover,and likes it. He lives in AZ where it gets hot, and no complaints from him. I am impressed enough that I am buying one for the New RAM I am trying to get.</P>

One word of warning. Mine came complete, but my Dad's was missing the clamps. Took the guy a week to ship them to him. Not a real big deal, just bummed my dad, he's like me ( or I,him ) and wanted to install right away.</P>

Fiberglass- I like Snug Top's Snug Lid: http://www.snugtop.com/p_snuglid.htm , and also *******'s Speedsturr lid: http://www.gaylordslids.com/speedsturr.asp. they both are big name companies.

 

Extang out of Ann Arbor, MI makes a great vinyl tonneau. I had one on a Ranger for 10 years and no major problems.

 

I have snugtop and I love it. </P>


Its rather expensive, but well worth the money. </P>

It also has 2 locks one on each side </P>


When locked it also keeps the tailgate from being opened.</P>

a company called hinginuity(spelling?) makes a really nice hinged soft top cover. the frame is extruded alluminum and the top is a thick vinyl cover.(both covered with a warranty)
