Highway/All-Season Tire Advice, Please
Hey All,
It's time to get some new rubber for my truck and I wanted to ask for people's opinions on which tire to buy. I have a '02 2WD quadcab 4.7L that spends the majority of its life on pavement with occasional trips on groomed dirt and gravel roads. As I live in Southern California great snow traction isn't really a concern. Handling and gas milage are my top concerns. I have been less than impressed with the stock Goodyear Wrangle RT\S (235/75R15 108S). The three tires I'm considering are the Michelin LTX M\S, Yokohama Geolander H\T-S G051 snd the Pirelli Scorpion STR A. Oh yeah, I have the stock 15" rims. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I just got a set of Geolander AT+2 tires. They were highly recommended by several people and are rated well on the Tire Rack owners reviews. Can't wait to try them out in the next snowstorm here.
According to Consumer Reports, the number 1 all-season light truck tire is the Goodyear Fortera HL Edition. Their number 1 all-terrain light truck tire is the Nitto Terra Grappler.
If you're looking for highway performance then go with the all-season tire. If you're looking for off-road performance then go with the all-terrain tire (though that Nitto Terra Grappler performed suprisingly well on-road).

Had my Geolanders now for a few days. 100% recommend them to anyone. Quiet for a all terrain tire. Handles twice as good as the Cooper Discoverer HT tires they replaced. Drove through 6 inches of new snow without a problem.
