tranny stuck in drive!

tranny stuck in drive!

88 dakota 4x4 v6 auto: dang thing just stuck in drive but external linkage from the column all the way to the trannymoves freely as if it were shifting. all comments and suggestionsappreciated

burn it? jk, sounds like a linkage to me...but you said its fine? then internal problems, back to the frist part burn it!

is it shifting throught gears in drive or stuck in ine gear?
