New Here! And I have some questions!
Hi all,
I just created this account, and I'm also very new to using forums in general, so please bear with me.
I am looking to buy the Dodge Dart Rallye, but I have a few questions for anyone who can help me out (I apologize, I don't know much about cars, so I'm hoping you can help. This purchase would be my first car.)
First off, I am looking into the 7-year, 70,000 mile extended warranty. What would you expect the price on that to be? I want to make sure I am getting a good deal. Also, is this a 7-year, 70,000 FULL warranty - extending the 3-year, 36,000 mile?
Second, I've heard of some people having issues with the dual dry clutch automatic transmission. What have you heard about this? And I can drive this car like I would a regular automatic, right? (dumb question, I know - but it has to be asked).
Thanks - any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Almost two weeks in... no DDC issues... yes, drive it the same.
Personally, I don't buy extended warranties... I'll take it if they're giving it away, but won't pay extra for it... included extended warranties sort of elude to their confidence level in the vehicle.
My '98 RAM came with 7/70k and didn't have anything warrantable until ~125k.

Generally Extended warranty are expensive, and has a deductible every visit. So unless you are buying a Life time Mopar Max care, it is not worth it. In my Opinion.
Probably better off just Bank those money and pay out of your pocket when minor problem arise. And price of repair are usually negotiable too.
Chrysler give a 5yr-100k power train warranty, which should cover your expensive repair. Just do the math, you have to pay a deductible every visit, be it a Trans replacement or a broken door handle, the deductible is the same. How many $500+ (non powertrain related repair) is needed between 36k-70k miles for your extended warranty to pay off itself?
It is a low line Dodge compact car, not a BMW. general repair aren't that expensive.
O yeah, the Dart is an awsm car, you would not regret buying it.
