I purchased a 2013 Dodge Dart from the dealer last Thursday. As soon as I got out of town with my new purchase, the radio stations went to complete static.
I have taken it back twice, and now they are trying to tell me fade is normal, and they can't find anything wrong.
Fade is not normal, especially on this year of a vehicle.
I have found others here with this issue, but no solutions to their inquiries.
Is there any solution to this problem, or is buying a car with a crappy radio signal just my issue?

 

Is the issue fade or static? Two different things.

 

Actually both. It fades in and out on the hills, then when I get further from the city, the stations lose signal and I just get static. I have not had any radio reception problems in this area since the 80's. Can pick up radio stations on a house radio, and in my other vehicle, which is a 2002 Nissan. Not even AM picks up on this car. Works good in the city, but will not pick them up 70 miles away, where as my other vehicle has no problem getting these stations in the city, and maintaining that same station all the way home. Sure, and occasional fade on a hill, but not like this car. It's like a roller coaster of white noise, real faded out radio, and then back to the good signal. Fade, white static. Then a point where you just get static., until you go to town again.. yay.. lol
They are trying to tell me there is not an issue, they sold me the car with the radio working in the city, so it just must be my signal.. I am not stupid, makes me furious when I am treated as such.
