Default 2014 Dodge Dart Limited , shifter and car in park, but will not shut off.

The car is in Park, transmission is doing what its supposed to. I take my foot off the brake, its definitely in park. But when I hit the start/Run switch to shut it down, it will not shut off. Now when I mess with the shifter, moving from park to Drive or Reverse and back to park. it will eventually shut down.
This Does not happen all the time, but seems to be getting more frequent.

Is it possible that the shift linkage recall could solve this issue or is there another part that may need to be replaced.

This is happening to me almost daily now. The dealer "cannot find anything wrong" and yet, It's getting more and more frequent. IS there a solution to this?

you will probably need a new shifter. That's what corrected my issue There is a solenoid that is part of the shifting assembly that went bad. The only way to replace that part is by replacing the whole shift assembly
It cost me a close to a $1000 to fix.

Had same problem with 2013 dodge ram push start with center shifter . Changed push start button didn't work Changed solenoid in transmission not that either . Found out there is a switch In the shifter assembly that is causing issues and cannot be replaced. You either have to buy new shifter console at 850 Canadian or cheaper in the USA if that's where your from. Or you can find a used one from scrap yard for around 250 wich I did and no more problems. I've been searching for a year now and finally figured it out . If you are having more issues before fixing just pull fuel pump fuse til it shuts off and put back in . Hope this helps you out

Default Center Shifter Replacement

I am having the same issue with my 2013 Ram(push ignition with center shifter) What was the level of difficulty to replace the shifter? Do you recall the part number for the shifter(52855896AA)? Have you had any issues since replacement of center shifter?
Thank you for your help.
