2013 Dodge Dart Limited Turbo 1.4L parts
A few months ago, My car wouldn’t go into drive or reverse and started saying “gear not available” after a while it finally went it drive. And it would go into neutral while driving. I took it to a transmission shop who said it was my dual clutch. After $3000 later they said it was the actuator and would cost another $4000. I then took it to my local Dodge shop and they said it was the TCM. So replaced that for $1000. They are now saying it is the hydraulic shift actuator and odd clutch actuator and will be $8000. My car isn’t even worth that anymore but they will give me $500 to sell it back to them. Any advice or recommendations?
in 2015, there was a recall for both the TCM and shifter cable that they claim was fixed. I purchased it 2017. How do we know it was fixed with the correct parts? How do we know these aren’t the same reasons for the recall? Dodge has been no help. Even with just having a diagnostic text a month ago(my car is still in their shop) they said I would have to pay for another one to see if it is recall related??? How does that make sense?
