dodge daytona cuts out
Check/replace the hall effect pickup under the distributor cap. My buddies 88 had the same problem. We checked everything. We found that the hall effect pickup had cracked slightly with age and when the car got hot enough, the circuit would open and cut off the signal to the power module. No signal to the module means no spark, fuel pump, or injector(s).
thanks
actualy it was the coil pick up. but i do have 2 other problems. the car will not shut down the boost until the map sensor shuts it down. i am pegging the boost gauge. is that the waste gate? or something else? i am also getting engine vibration through the car, i have replaced both engine mounts and trany mount along with the torque strut. any ideas?
