Default A/F Gauge Problems, could it be my O2 sensor?

I installed a Cyberdyne A/F Gauge the other day on my 91 Daytona. The gauge is set on the right wire because two of the wires I know are for the sensor heater, and the other wire I tested first and constantly read lean. I haven't had time to solder any of the connections yet but they are weaved together and covered with eletrical tape. After warming up, at idle, the gauge shows one bar. Under light acceleration the gauges shows one red lean bar as well and flickers a second red bar. At full throttle the gauge will show two red lean bars and flicker on and off one yellow bar. I have a suspected leaking fuel injector but would this cause it run this lean (the leak is not a large one, nor did the onboard diagnostics report a lean condition)? Or do I simply have a bad oxygen sensor? Also, when my lights are on, the gauge reads one barleaner, unless I step on the brakes which causes it to run about one bar richer. Thanks for the help.[/align]

Anyone have any ideas? Anyway I can test to see if my O2 sensor is working properly?

i would check fuel presser and filter. then check the o/2 with a volt meter to check gauge. alan
