Default New to these cars

Hey guys nice to see that there is a descent forum set up for these cars.

I notice most of you guys have newer tonas and what not but i have the chance to get a 85 daytona for super cheap. Its the turbo with the auto *forget how many k's are on it*. Just curiouse what I Should look out for on this car and is there a nice list of mods I can do for cheap. *its gonna be my daily runner while my z24 is off the road while I do a bunch of work to it*.

How long are the turbos good in these as well.

Yup, the '84-'86 bodystyle is the one that looks the hottest. They really had it looking right the first time, the facelifts just diluted the look, IMHO.

As to the turbo's longevity, a friend of my parents' had an '88 or soDodge Lancer with a turbo/5 speed. Turbo I or Turbo II, who knows but I do know that car had well over 250K on it and never a major issue with the car, outside of normal maintenance such as timing belts, CV joints, etc. He did a LOT of city driving too so while the car wasnt really hot rodded it wasnt babied either.
