I just bought it and I'm stoked....but I am having an issue with the cruise control....I'd get up to 70 slide it to the "On" position...and hit "Set" and the speed drops.

Any ideas aside from checking the fuses?

Check the Vacuum hose that goes to it, make sure it isn't cracked or have holes. The cruise controller is a black cylindar next to the power brake booster, it also has a cable going to the controller to the throttle body. Make sure that is hooked up.
