I have an 89 Daytona ES and it's black.

There are places like the spoiler that have faded to blotches of white.

I obviously want to geta whole new paint job done, but in the meantime, I'm thinking I'm going to at least shoot the whiteish spots a little.

Should I get a glossy black or just a flat black? I figure anything's better than white but I want to minimize the gettotasticness

Thanks so much.

RE: Touch up paint
i would say to make it less noticable i would use a semi-gloss or a flat black.

RE: Touch up paint
First question, is the paint itself faded or is it just oxidized? If it's oxidized, save yourself the paint and get some rubbing compound and take the white "film" off. If the paint is faded (odd for just the spoiler) duplicolor makes a color matched paint in a spray can. One can should do the entire spoiler with several coats...

RE: Touch up paint
The whitish spots sound like the top coat might be eroding off, exposing the undercoat. Duracolor or Plasticoat will still do the job.
