Removing the turbo

Going to a salvage yard tomorrow to remove the turbo from a daytona. Car is late 80s early 902 turbo II car. How hard are they to remove?

Also how does the wastgate work. Is it computer controlled opened by vaccume or by the pressure made by the turbo?
