Thumbs up 3 Litre performance

I have had the turbo/s before they always seemed to be slow off the line and then pull like crazy when the boost would kick in.
I now have a lower horse power es with the 3 litre. Way quicker off the line, performance is not bad. So far I have improved the exaust flow by removing the CAT and Changing the muffler. I changed out the plugs to those E3 (actually noticed a very nice improvement) What other simple tricks can you suggest to get a bit more out of this engine. I have been disappointed that no one seems to offer anything for performance bolt on's for this engine. Does changing the air box over to a cold air intake gain anything??
Thanks John from Calgary.
(I call my car little cherry bomb cause thats the noisy muffler I put on it and of course the car is red)

True cold air is a plus.

They don;t actually make a cold air intake for this car. I was thinking of removing the air box and plumbing in a cone air filter where the air box is, and basically leaving the mass air flow unit intact (but wouldn;t crap go in the large air gathering tube end up in the mass air flow unit and cause grief)

I have a 93 and there is no mass air flow.
Just putting a cone in place of the airbox will pull in heated engine air.
