Default 1991 Dodge Daytona Speedo Help.

My 1991 Dodge Daytona Speedometer, Odometer, and Cruise are not working. But the doors lock after 15 mph. Can anyone help? I think it's the speed sensor, but the door locks locking makes me wonder.

Rule out any bad fuses and then go on to your relays. Sometimes just turning the car on and off will reset the car. Every once in a while my power locks don't lock and then the next time I drive it, they are fine. I just got my car back after two weeks of my mechanic trying to trace an intermittant turn signal glitch. He found a wire that was touching another wire that was causing a grounding issue. If you did any wiring/rewiring in your car, you may want to check that also. Do a computer code diagnosis by turning the key back and forth in the ignition switch three times and then leave it at accessory. Your check engine light will flash codes and then it will clear itself by flashing a code 55. For the codes, go to www.allpar.com .

That is weird. My first thought when reading your title was that your speed sensor was bad, because in an es that I used to own, I had to change that thing almost every year.

But when my speed sensor went bad, the doors didn't lock automatically, so I don't think that's your problem.

Yeah, check fuses, and maybe pull out the instrument panel and check the connection to the gauges too. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I wanted to throw my experience with the sensor out there...
